William Mzimba is the Chief Officer: Vodacom Business and a member of the Vodacom South Africa Executive Committee. He joined Vodacom on 1 May 2018. He is responsible for Vodacom’s Enterprise Units in Africa, leading a team tasked with driving digital transformation in targeted industries and markets working with large and small enterprises, corporates, small office/home office (SoHo) and Governments.

Vodacom Financial Services

Mariam Cassim is the Chief Officer: Vodacom Financial Services and a member of the Vodacom Executive Committee. She was appointed in February 2019. Since joining Vodacom Mariam has successfully formulated and implemented a clear Financial Services strategy with three core focus areas (Payments, Lending and Insurance) growing it to over a billion rand profit business, making it a meaningful player in the Financial Services industry in South Africa.

Consumer Business Unit

Jorge Mendes is the Chief Officer: Consumer Business Unit and a member of the Vodacom South Africa Committee. He was appointed in 2019. Since joining Vodacom in 1994, he has played a number of roles in the business. He has also successfully managed all the sales channels within South Africa and has driven strong operational management in the regions.

Errol van Graan is the Chief Officer: Commercial Operations Business Unit and a member of the Vodacom South Africa Executive Committee. He was appointed in February 2018. Prior to this he was at Vodafone Australia where he held the position of Director: Customer Operations since 2015, and delivered the Customer Service and Experience strategy for the company.

Technology

Dejan Kastelic is the Chief Technology and a member of the Vodacom Group Executive Committee. He was appointed August 2020. Dejan joins Vodacom from PT Indosat Ooredoo TBK, where he served as the Chief Technology and Information Officer, part of Ooredoo Group from Qatar.

Strategy

Puso Manthata is the Chief Officer: Strategy and New Business Development and a member of Vodacom Group Executive Committee. He was appointed in June 2020. Puso is a Chartered Accountant and brings well over 16 years of experience in investment banking, having worked at multi-national and local investment banks. He has worked across several disciplines, including mergers and acquisitions, disposals, restructurings, Debt Capital Markets and Equity Capital Markets.

External Affairs

Stephen joined Vodacom as Chief External Affairs Officer: Vodacom Group in November 2021. Stephen has a deep background in Regulatory and Legal affairs. He is responsible for Group Regulatory, External and Corporate Affairs, which includes Public Policy, Communications, Media Relations, Group Corporate Social Investment (CSI) and Sustainability. The role covers all the Vodacom Group markets: DRC, Lesotho, Mozambique, Tanzania, and South Africa, as well as Vodafone Ghana. He will also support Safaricom PLC and Safaricom Telecommunications Ethiopia PLC.

Legal and regulatory

Nkateko Nyoka is the Chief Officer: Legal and Compliance, and a member of the Vodacom Group Executive Committee. He was appointed to the Vodacom Group Executive Committee on 1 November 2010. Prior to joining Vodacom, he amongst other senior roles, served as CEO of the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA).

Human Resources

Matimba Mbungela is the Chief Human Resources Officer and a member of the Vodacom Group Executive Committee. He has worked within the Vodacom/Vodafone Group since 2003 during which he worked in various roles within HR. He subsequently spent three years on secondment to Vodafone as Regional Head of Organisational Effectiveness and Change, and Regional Head of Talent within the Africa, Middle East and Asia Pacific (AMAP) region. Prior to his assignment to the Vodafone AMAP Region, Matimba was responsible for Talent Management at Vodacom for six years where he successfully delivered the integration of our talent strategy into the Vodafone global strategy.
