Sitho was appointed to the role of Managing Director and executive director of Vodacom South Africa with effect from 1 July 2022. Prior to this Sitho was the Managing Director of Vodacom Tanzania Plc from 1 November 2021 to 30 June 2022. Sitho has previously held various roles at Vodacom including that of Finance Director of Vodacom South Africa , Interim Chief Financial Officer of Vodacom Group and as well as the Chief Financial Officer of Vodacom Group’s International Business. Prior to joining Vodacom Group, he worked for Vodafone Group for more than 6 years holding senior roles within the Group. Sitho has over 20 years finance, management and consulting experience of which 14 have been in telecommunications across both emerging and developed markets.

Refilwe Nkabinde was appointed as Finance Director for Vodacom South Africa with effect from 1 November 2021. Refilwe is a Chartered Accountant with strong corporate financial leadership experience in the information technology, telecommunications, banking, and FMCG industries. She has over 19 years of strategic, operational, and management experience leading and managing teams, departments, and companies in challenging and diverse environments.
Refilwe joined Vodacom in November 2018 as Managing Executive: CBU Finance Business Partner from Business Connection where she held various senior leadership roles, including Group Financial Manager, Deputy CFO and Chief Financial Officer - a role she held for 2 years. During her time as CBU Finance Business Partner, she was instrumental in supporting decision-making as well as delivering great financial performance for the financial year 2020/2021.
Refilwe was one of the Top 5 finalists in the 2017 Standard Bank Rising star award, ICT sector - a national platform aimed at recognising inspirational & passionate individuals under 40. She has also served as a Non-Executive Director for both listed and unlisted entities.

Chief Officer: Vodacom SA External Affairs Director
Qualifications: LLB (Wits), Higher Diploma in Company Law (Wits), BJuris (University of Venda), Master's Degree Security Studies (University of Pretoria), Executive Education and Post Graduate Certificates (Wits and Harvard Kennedy School of Government).
Taki was appointed as Chief Officer: Corporate Affairs for Vodacom Group with effect from September 2016. She was later appointed as Executive Director in Vodacom South Africa and Chairperson of the Vodacom Foundation.
Taki has had a stint as a part-time lecturer in Administrative Law at the University of Venda. She then spent 20years in government mainly as a lawyer and policy advisor in the security cluster whilst employed in the Ministry for Intelligence Services. She developed well-honed legal skills as a law writer and legal advisor in public policy development as well as stakeholder and relationship management. These competencies were augmented during her 4 year stint as Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa in Hungary and Croatia. Before taking up the diplomatic post, she operated as CEO of Electronic Communications Security (Pty) (Ltd), a state owned entity that was established under the then National Intelligence Agency.
She received several merit awards which include the Hungarian Eotvos (ELTE) University commemorative medal and certificate for relentless efforts to promote academic and cultural collaboration between South Africa and Hungary, and deepening bilateral relations between the two countries. She was also awarded the Intelligence Services Woman of the Year award for meritorious contribution to the South African intelligence policy and legal dispensation. She was admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of South Africa in 1996. Taki is currently the Read to Lead Ambassador for the Department of Basic Education.

Beverly Ngwenya was appointed to the new Vodacom South Africa Exco as Technology Director on 1 July 2020. Beverly joined Vodacom in 2010 and was previously Network Officer responsible for the Mobile Network Engineering and Operations functions of Vodacom South Africa having held several Network and IT positions in Vodacom and Vodafone.

Njabulo was appointed to the role of Human Resources Director and executive director of Vodacom South Africa with effect from 1 February 2021. She joins Vodacom SA from Heineken, Amsterdam where she had been on assignment as a Talent Management lead and OpCo spanbreaker in the Africa, Middle East and Eastern Europe (AMEE) region since September 2018. Njabulo has 18 years of extensive experience in the human resources management value chain, 9 years of which have been in senior leadership roles.
Previously, Njabulo held the role of Heineken’s Human Resources Director: Southern Africa. Her previous roles include Director: Human Resources at the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, Chief Director: Human Resources and Head of Talent Management at the National Treasury of South Africa.

Dee Nel is the Director: Commercial Operations and Executive Director of Vodacom South Africa. She was appointed on 1 December 2022. She is responsible for the design and management of Customer Experience and Customer Operations for Vodacom South Africa, ensuring we live up to our commitment to earning customer loyalty.
Prior to this, Dee was the Managing Executive: Retentions of Vodacom South Africa from July 2021 to November 2022. She initially worked for Vodacom from 1997 until December 2014, before re-joining the company in 2021. During her time at Vodacom, she has held various positions including that of Managing Executive: Customer Service, Managing Executive: Customer Experience Transformation, National Executive Head: Customer Operations, as well as Executive Head of Retentions Call Centres.
Dee has extensive experience in customer operations, analytics and digital transformation, and has held various leadership positions in these critical business areas. She has 25 years of experience in ICT and has a solid understanding of creating distinctive value for customers and building deep customer relationships.

Rishaad’s is the Director: Consumer Business and Executive Director of Vodacom South Africa. He was appointed on 1 March 2023 and is responsible Distribution Channels, Terminals and Logistics as well as Regional Operations in South Africa.
Rishaad’s journey with Vodacom started in 1996 as a Property Coordinator in the Gauteng Region, before going on to hold various leadership roles across commercial and network divisions at Vodacom South Africa, DRC, Mozambique and Lesotho where he was appointed Managing Director.

He held various senior roles at MTN including Executive Regional Operations in South Africa, Chief Executive Officer in South Sudan, Chief Marketing Officer in Zambia and Chief Marketing Officer and Acting Chief Executive Officer in Swaziland. He has over 15 years’ experience in leadership and commercial execution (marketing, consumer, enterprise and mobile financial services) working with one of the largest telco companies in Africa.

Mohale was appointed as Managing Director for Vodacom Lesotho effective 01 June 2021. Mohale is a seasoned transformational business leader with over 24 years’ experience in the fields of telecommunications, marketing and financial services. He has held various leadership roles including Director for Corporate Affairs at Old Mutual Emerging Markets, Managing Executive for Absa Private Bank and as CEO of the Black Business Council (BBC).
Well experienced in corporate governance, he has held several executive and non-executive director roles in many organisations including the Association for Communication & Advertising Agencies (ACA), Absa Rewards Company, Absa Trust, Absa Insurance and Financial Advisors, and Old Mutual Foundation. He currently serves as Chairman of Redemption Capital Holdings, Repassen18, MarbleTech, Workers Life Assurance and Insurance; and Wunderman Thompson South Africa.
Prior to joining Vodacom, Mohale excelled as an entrepreneur, having founded Itataise Investments. He is also Co-founder of Ralco Investments, which, among other investments, is the anchor investor in Vulatel, one of the leading fibre and mobile network construction service providers in South Africa. In his role as MD, he is responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight of Vodacom Lesotho operations in line with our purpose to connect Basotho to a better future.

Simon was appointed Managing Director of Vodacom Moçambique , effective 1 January 2022. Simon has extensive experience working in executive and strategic roles, including as Financial Director and Chief Financial Officer. He joined Vodacom from Millicom Tigo in Tanzania where he held the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO). During his time, he was instrumental in supporting the Milicom Group on their Mergers & Acquisitions strategy and led in the sale of Millicom’s Operations in Tanzania to Axian as well as the in-market consolidation of Tigo and Zantel operations in Tanzania.
