JOHANNESBURG - On Friday last week, the Advertising Standards Authority of South Africa (ASA) ruled that Vodacom’s claim of having the network with the least dropped calls is substantiated. The ruling was triggered by competitor complaints to the ASA against our television commercials where we claimed to have “SA’s best network with the least dropped calls”.
This feat comes shortly after ASA ruled in December 2016 that Vodacom may continue to use its claim of having the First and Best 4G network in South Africa.
Andries Delport, Chief Technology Officer for Vodacom Group commented:
“We’re thrilled at the latest ruling by the ASA as it affirms our promise to keep our customers confidently connected and we have been able to do so for over two decades through consistent investment on our network. Both achievements prove beyond any reasonable doubt that we’re still the most loved network provider in SA and we provide widest coverage, best quality and fastest network.”
