Our goal is to upskill 1 million young people across the continent in the next 3 years, empowering them to thrive in the digital economy. Through TechStart, participants gain access to worldclass learning opportunities, including foundational and advanced technology skills, designed to bridge the gap between education and employability.
How the program will be delivered
TechStart combines classroom based training and self-paced online learning, ensuring flexibility and accessibility for all participants. The initiative offers a range of programs, such as the AWS Educate program in collaboration with Amazon Web Services, to provide cutting edge content tailored to future tech needs. To maximize impact, we are collaborating with leading tech companies, educational institutions, and community organizations, creating a network of support to ensure success.
Who should register for the program?
TechStart is open to everyone aged 12 to 35, regardless of background or previous experience. Whether you’re a student, job seeker, or aspiring entrepreneur, this initiative is designed to empower young people who want to gain valuable digital skills and unlock new opportunities in the tech industry. The AWS Educate program is our first online and self-paced offering for learners who are 18 years and older. Courses for the younger learners will be classroom-based and rolled out at a later stage.
